Yevhen Yashchuk is President of the Oxford University Ukrainian Society. Oxford University Ukrainian Society organizes events related to Ukraine's history, culture, politics, and society. Within the past three years, its focus has shifted from the reactive meeting of the demand to make Ukraine visible in Oxford to more in-depth attempts to discuss topics related to Ukraine in a more critical manner.
For the next couple of years, Yevhen will continue working on his main research project on the transimperial history of everyday life during the Great Eastern Crisis of 1875-1878. On the side, he is willing to continue exploring knowledge production during the wartime.
