Associate Professor of Modern History at the University of Oxford
Dr Lebow's current project analyses autobiographical narratives submitted to memoir-writing competitions in 1920s-30s Poland. A small number of authors were Ukrainians and other so-called national minorities. Among other themes, the project therefore engages with questions about national and civic identities in the region in the years between the two world wars.
