Dr Slaveski is Senior Lecturer in Russian/Soviet and East European History at the Australian National University.

ANU's Center for European Studies regularly holds forums on Ukraine with scholars, diplomats and government etc., including virtually hosting President Zelenskyy for a student webinar in late 2022. The Center collaborates with History (my department) which runs research projects on Ukrainian history.

Filip leads two funded research projects on famine in Ukraine (1946-47) and historical/contemporary experiences of military occupation in Ukraine from WW1 to the present.
